Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dartford
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum


Are you passionate about building a rewarding commercial career in construction? Our client, a well-established construction and property services company, is seeking a motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
You will be supporting experienced Quantity Surveyors in delivering cost-effective project outcomes for a range of building and refurbishment works, assisting with commercial administration and gaining practical experience in industry best practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the commercial team with cost control and forecasting
  • Support measurement, take-offs and preparation of bills of quantities
  • Help prepare valuations, applications and subcontract assessments
  • Contribute to procurement activities and subcontract tender evaluation
  • Assist in reviewing contracts and commercial documentation
  • Support reporting and commercial records in line with company procedures
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and suppliers

About You

  • Educated to degree level (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Excellent organisation, numeracy and communication skills
  • Commercially curious and eager to learn on-the-job
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
